Oman Welcomes First Batch of Female Firefighters to Strengthen National Emergency Response

Oman has officially welcomed its first batch of Omani female firefighters into the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), marking a significant milestone for the country’s emergency services sector.

The recruitment forms part of the CDAA’s strategy to develop skilled national talent and enhance emergency preparedness across the Sultanate. The new recruits will undergo comprehensive theoretical, practical, and field-based training to equip them with the expertise required for frontline firefighting duties.

The initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to investing in human capital, promoting professionalism, and improving civil defence and ambulance services while strengthening the nation’s ability to protect lives, property, and communities during emergencies.
